Today’s tip is to set daily goals.

Imagine your life if you only had to accomplish one task per day! How great would that be?

Why not just do it! Live your life that way!

With everything that we have to get done, breaking down each task and assigning a different thing per day will ensure that you can get done everything that you need to get done, which will also make them more enjoyable.

Sometimes a goal can be taking a long lunch—something that you can do to make sure that you’re taking care of you! It can be making your shopping list, and breaking it down to per store. Then you can put each store on your schedule for a different day and do all of your shopping for that store in that one day. You don’t need to do all of your shopping in one day!

Going to store after store can really add to the stress of the holidays. You have to deal with traffic to then find parking. Then you have to fight crowds of people to search for the one thing you need to then stand in line for 25 minutes. Repeating this over and over will just make you hangry, so don’t do it!

When setting daily goals, try to not make them too big. A lofty goal is getting all of your shopping done in one day. Another example is getting all of your Christmas Cookies and Treats made in one day—unless you’re only making 1-3 treats, you aren’t going to get this done in just one day.

Other examples of daily goals can be:

  1. Getting a work project done.
  2. Calling your Grandma.
  3. Getting your Holiday Cards sent.
  4. Taking a bath.

The whole point of this practice is to prevent you from feeling unnecessary overwhelm. To overcome overwhelm, YOU need to take charge and organize your plan of action.
